Why Clients Choose Us

Safe, Fun & Clean

Every dog in our care is supervised by trained staff in a fully fenced, sanitized play area designed with Florida's climate in mind. We use pet-safe cleaning products and follow strict hygiene protocols, so your pup stays healthy and happy from drop-off to pick-up.

Healthy & Happy Environment

Our facility maintains a cool, comfortable indoor space where dogs can rest, play, and socialize at their own pace. We monitor each dog's behavior and energy levels throughout the day to ensure a stress-free experience tailored to their individual needs.

Professional Communication

You'll receive real-time photo and activity updates throughout the day so you're never left wondering how your furry family member is doing. Our knowledgeable staff is always available to answer questions and address any concerns with prompt, friendly service.

Convenient Scheduling

We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up windows to fit your busy lifestyle, whether you need daycare for a few hours or boarding for an extended stay. Booking is quick and easy through our custom Paw Partner app.

Have any questions?

  • Visit our website and use the "Register Now" link. You'll create a username and password, upload veterinary records, and register each of your pets with their complete information (birth date, breed, vaccination dates). Complete the required application and agreement—everything is electronic, nothing to print!

  • Once registered, you can schedule Playgroup Compatibility Evaluation (PCE) through our Paw Partner app. We recommend booking at least one week in advance to ensure adequate staffing. Once your pup is evaluated, you can book daycare and boarding reservations. For boarding, reserve as soon as you finalize your travel plans—holidays fill up quickly and we have a strict cap of ten (10) dogs in our micro, small and medium playgroups!

  • Every dog must pass a compatibility evaluation before joining our daycare playgroups or booking a reservation. This $25 evaluation helps us assess your dog's temperament and ensure they'll thrive in our environment. Evaluations are by appointment only, performed by trained staff. Drop-off is scheduled when your dog has the most energy; pick-up is after 2:00 PM. If your dog doesn't pass initially, they can try again after at least one week (re-evaluation fee: $10).

  • Reservations are required for daycare. Pre-scheduling ensures we can staff appropriately for a safe environment. While we understand unexpected situations arise, reservations are preferred. Please call if you need to cancel. For existing customers, we will try to accommodate last minute requests.

  • Approved daycare dogs must attend at least once weekly to maintain their playgroup status. Dogs absent for 30+ days require re-evaluation. Exceptions can be made for vacations or medical reasons with management approval.

  • Vaccinations are required for all guests. All daycare and boarding dogs must be current on: Rabies, DHPP (distemper), Influenza, and Bordetella. Dogs must also be current on flea and heartworm prevention. If fleas are found during your pet's stay, we reserve the right to apply flea prevention with applicable fees. Dogs receiving their first Bordetella vaccination must wait 5-7 days before visiting; revaccinated dogs must wait 24 hours.

  • Vaccination records can be uploaded directly in Paw Partner. Also, you can email them directly to us. You'll receive confirmation once we've reviewed your records. We cannot accept pets without current vaccination records—safety is our top priority!

  • For daycare, all dogs must be spayed/neutered by six (6) months. For boarding, unaltered dogs can receive individual solo care with staff playtime at least three (3) times daily (additional $15 per day).

  • All dogs are grouped by both temperament and size. We have designated areas for micro dogs (under 10 lbs.), small dogs (11 lbs. to 25 lbs.) and medium dogs (26 lbs. to 50 lbs.). All playgroups are monitored by full-time Pet Care Counselors. Occasionally, dogs of different sizes may be combined based on compatibility and group availability.

  • As a residential facility, we have both size and breed restrictions. For safety reasons and insurance regulations, we limit daycare group participation to dogs weighing 50 lbs. or less. Larger dogs may still board with us and receive individual solo care. Safety is always our number one priority. Therefore, "Bully breeds" (American Pit Bull Terriers, Miniature Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Bulldogs, Bull Terriers) or mixed breeds resembling them are restricted from daycare and group play.

  • We believe every pet parent should see where their furry family member will be staying. However, our insurance regulations do not permit tours. You can view our facility tour video on our website.

  • Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All daycare dogs should be dropped offer before 12:00 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday: No daycare hours. Boarding only.

We will be closed on the following days:

    • Easter

    • Memorial Day

    • Independence Day (4th of July)

    • New Year’s Day

  • We offer discounts to Veterans, First Responders, Medical Staff, Educators, and multi-dog families. Only one discount can be applied per transaction.

  • Drop-off and pick-up hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There are no weekend drop-off or pick-up times, and all boarding dogs require a minimum of a two-night stay during weekdays, and a three-night stay during the weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Please note: We close daily for doggy nap time and lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m

  • All boarders should bring the following three (3) items:

    1. Dog food in pre-measured portions in a zip lock bag. Each bag should be labeled with the guest’s name and meal date. Each meal must be in its own bag.

    2. At least two (2) extra feeding portions in case of travel delays.

    3. All oral medication with printed dosage instructions. All medicines should be placed in a zip lock bag with the guest’s name and date. We do not administer injectables.

Please DO NOT bring bedding or toys.

  • While rare, illness and injury can occur, just like with children. We take extensive precautions through evaluations, size/temperament grouping, and constant supervision. However, risks including nips, bites, scratches, illness, and stress-related conditions can occur. Should injury require more than basic first aid, we'll transport your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic and contact you immediately. Owners are financially responsible for all veterinary care needed during or after their pet's stay.

  • Kennel cough is a respiratory infection like a human chest cold. While we require Bordetella vaccination, it doesn't cover all virus strands—much like the flu shot. Dogs can contract kennel cough at dog parks, on walks, or anywhere other dogs have been. If your dog develops a cough, please keep them home, seek veterinary care, and notify us immediately so we can take precautions. We recommend getting Bordetella vaccinations 10-14 days before your dog's visit.

  • The Dog House Pet Resort is conveniently located at 7724 Gibsonton Drive, Gibsonton, FL 33534.
